Using Sample code and CopyRight

Hello.

Regarding usage of sample code: suppose we use the DirectShow filtersample code to create filter (without making changes to the code, only to avoid breaking SDK license by redistributing Intel binaries).

What about the CopyRight Notice? Should tha remain Intel, or does Intel not want this, and should we state something like "Based on code provided by Intel"?

An advice from Intel would help here.

Regards, Ronald

Hi Ronald,

Feel free to keep or remove the Intel source code CopyRight header. The choice is up to you. I'm assuming you do not plan to redistribute the existing unmodified source code somewhere else?

Regards,
Petter

Hi Petter,

Thanks for clarifying. We do not redistribute source, only binaries.
