My previous question was:
"So you mean to tell me that the new 14700k batches have resolved the instability issues they were having at the beginning of their release? Have they resolved the microcode issues?:
then intel replied :
"Ensure that you have updated the drivers for your motherboard to the latest version available. Then update to the most recent BIOS release - this will ensure that the latest microcode is installed. Be aware that ancillary drivers such as those for Sound have also been updated to improve system stability.
Use the Intel Default Settings for your board. This should resolve the issues that were being experienced previously."
i can notreply to email so i will reply here"
That was not my question. I know about bios update and i have already updated them with the final version ( September 2024) with 0x12B microcode fix. The question is if intel changed anything to the cpus itself and not if there is a possible bios update that can resolve the instability problem. I have already made the update. In conclusion if i was not updated the bios to the latest version i could have instability issues with a new 14700k or it could run without problems because intel made the proper changes to the cpu it self in order to solve the microcode problem without having to worry about bios version? Thank you , and please reply to that specific question.

I am a user of Intel hardware like yourself, so contribute to this forum on that basis and I am not an Intel employee.
Intel did issue a statement that there "...was a via Oxidation manufacturing issue (addressed back in 2023) and that only a small number of instability reports can be connected to the manufacturing issue. This via Oxidation manufacturing issue affected some early Intel Core 13th Gen desktop processors. However, the issue was root caused and addressed with manufacturing improvements and screens in 2023."
On this basis the 14th gen processors such as the 14700K was not affected by this. The other issues, as you are already aware, have been resolved by the microcode updates including the latest 0x12B and the accompanying driver updates. I would not see any reason to be concerned about a 14700K either if you own one or are considering purchasing one.
