2.2GHz Intel Core Duo Killing my laptop, Driver time!?

Really though, my processor maxes out like crazy, the computer gets really hot and starts chugging.

I think my driver is out of date, version 6.1.7600.16385, it's dated 6/21/2006, and I kind of doubt the last updated driver for this processor was 2006...

However! I tried to find a new driver on the intel page, couldn't find one. it only gave me the categories, firmware, utilites and some other stuff, and then something else that wasn't drivers.

If someone has some advice on this matter please let me know, kthanks!

The high temp could be caused by dust accumulating in the internal fan and CPU heatsink. A can of compressed air might alleviate your problem. As to the driver, run the Intel driver update utility in the website. It should tell you what Intel and non-intel device driver in your laptop needs updating.
