Looking at the above comparison, my understanding is that i3 is a better processor for desktop applications that us SQL.
Do I have the correct understanding? Will my desktop applications work better?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike_Avelar,
Let me help you with this.
Comparing both processors you are correct. The Intel® Core i3 processor will performance better than the Atom due to all the internal specifications such as the Smart Cache, memory types supported, etc… So it definitely will run better than the Atom one.

Thanks Kevin. The reason I am asking is that I'm eyeing one of the new Microsoft Surface Pro 3s to replace my ASUS VivoTab Smart. The VivoTab is great but once I start running desktop applications to build onsite home inspection reports ... it usually ends up just sitting on the table because the application hangs every third button touch.
