I have an X3370 that runs slower under light load, though all known power saving features are disabled in the OS (Linux kernel 2.6.28). My understanding is that the intelligent power capability disables some function units so programs will take longer to run, even though clock rate is full. Is there any simple means to disable this feature? By controllable I mean one can turn it on and off by issuing some command. I don't mind coding the command myself if I know how to. Thank you.
