Can stepping version be determined by s-spec or any other data?

I just registered here & see there are many knowledgeable people here!

I'm considering buying a Q9550 & the seller has no info whether the stepping is C1, E0, etc. Can this be determined by any info printed on the label on the box? The Prod Code is BX80569Q9550, the S-spec is SLB8V. I also see Ver # E44557-005, with a pack date of 06/03/10.

Thanks.

OK - I'll answer my question now - Just in case anyone is interested. CPU World has a very detailed searchable list of CPU specs, revealing the stepping versions given the S-spec:
