Changing inspiron 1545 cpu

Hello, i have dell inspiron 1545 running on debian linux q4os with these specs:
Intel celeron 585 30w
4gb ram
So i wanted to change to intel core 2 duo t9400 35w, is it compatible with this laptop i heard some people on dell forums talking that it worked but i just want to make sure
Any help?

You need to consult with Dell regarding what processors are compatible with THEIR bios.  Then select from those.  This is, of course, if your current processor can be upgraded.
