Hi,
I need advice for a replacement mainboard for a Dell Optiplex 7020 SFF desktop pc that is capable of supporting a TPM of at least version 2.0 to enable it to run Windows 11.
The original mainboard is capable of only supporting version 1.2.
The BIOS cannot be upgraded.
Anyone any ideas?
Regards
Ray

Any manufacturer's motherboard, or a dell specific motherboard?
Have you checked with dell to see if their bios supports an 8th gen or later processor?
What you are really asking for is a legitimate way to get to W11, which means an 8th gen processor or greater. The TPM really does not matter because any 8th gen or greater will have PTT.
HOWEVER, if you want to upgrade to W11 right now, you can use Microsoft's registry hack to do so. Read my post here:
