Help on witch processor to buy this summer NO CORE I7

Hi I want to buy a new quad core processor and don't want to get rid of my setup I would like a qx9770 but I don't know if that is right for me so I need some help to figure this out im a overclocker and I like to do the hit or miss with the overclock and I also play stuff like dirt 2 or halo 2 and am starting to get into cod mw and mw 2 plus I convert a lot of movies so if you have any suggestions than please post them here I can buy anything up to $600 I have a good setup so please don't suggest a new setup. I just want to play games nicely not at top notch.

Oh and also i would like a new video card so that would be nice if u could suggest some from ati thank you

To be honest with you there will be no more high-end processors for a socket that is soon to be EOL'd. Intel has discontinued the QX9770 a few months ago, and (depending on your current motherboard) your system might not be able to support any processor newer than the one you currently have at all. As such, I would not spend even one cent on such an aged platform.
