Hello,

So, my current MB does not have Power Limits and thus causing the 13600KF to thermal throttle when using blender/render videos. I wanted to add Maximum PL as per Intel Guidelines which is

PL1 = 125W and PL2 = 181W

When I open my BIOS, I enable Turbo Power Limits but I do not understand which options to change. appreciate your support.

Attached is an image of the options

Hello playcanon,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities. We would be more than glad to help you.

Regarding your question about how to add Maximum PL in the BIOS settings, we recommend you check with Gigabyte support for further recommendations; they can even verify that all the BIOS options, in general, are properly set for the optimal functionality of the processor. They can also confirm if you are running the latest BIOS version installed and provide the proper BIOS update steps if needed.

Since you are experiencing thermal issues with your processor, we suggest the following:

  • Check the thermal solution installation.
  • Check fan operation and status.
  • Check air ventilation.
  • Check for any dust on the fans
  • Check fan operation

For further information, we recommend you check the article Overheating Symptoms and Troubleshooting for Intel® Boxed Processors.
