Intel Core i7 Frequency Problem

Hello. Please Help. My CPU Frequency must be 2.67 GHz. but the Computer is showing me only 1.99 GHz of Frequency. I'm really Amazed. Because I Haven't Changed the BIOS Default Settings. Please tell me what do I do.

What CPU is it? i shoudl imagine it will be the speedstep technology, which slows teh CPU down when it is not needed.

Is it shows 1.99 in Windows or?? If in Win ,it is ok, if u do not want that ,see power menagment for CPU in bios (in performace part i think).
