Hello, Lajos2.
You're running version 7.14, which does support 13th Gen CPUs, so the issue likely isn’t CPU compatibility. Instead, it may be related to firmware or driver-level conflicts. If the BIOS hasn’t been updated recently, that’s the first thing to check, newer hardware often needs the latest BIOS and chipset drivers to function properly. The fact that the screen goes dark and shows “not supported” only after clicking suggests a runtime compatibility issue, not something caught at launch. You need to uninstall your current 7.14 version and reinstall the same version 7.14.2.14 from the Download Center. If the issue persists with that version, try installing version 10.0 or newer instead with a new XML. Version number did not change since the installer is the same, but users will see a fix and an ISO available with suggested values.
If the issue persists, confirm if all P-cores are enabled in BIOS; otherwise, ISO will continue to show as unsupported. The last option is to confirm the XML is being updated after a new install. You may need to update it manually:
Follow the steps below to update the XML manually:
- Delete the old Update file in C:\ProgramData\Intel\Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (.xml).
- Insert the new Update XML file.
- Reboot the system.

Hi, Lajos2.
Thank you for posting in our Community and for providing a clear description of the issue with Intel® XTU (Extreme Tuning Utility). I understand how inconvenient it can be when a previously functional tool suddenly becomes unsupported despite having compatible hardware.
To assist you more effectively, please help confirm the following details:
- Which version of Intel XTU are you currently using?
- Have there been any recent BIOS updates or changes to system firmware?
- Have you installed any recent Windows updates prior to the issue appearing?
- Could you kindly confirm whether the message indicates which specific component is not supported (e.g., CPU, platform, or driver)? If possible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share a screenshot displaying the exact error or issue, as this will help me better assess the situation.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello, Lajos2.
Thank you for the update, and I’m glad to hear you were able to resolve the issue by going to programdata folder and deleting intel extreme tuning folder than reinstalling the app. Deleting the Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility folder from the ProgramData directory and reinstalling the application was a smart and effective troubleshooting step, nicely done.
I appreciate your initiative and collaboration throughout the process. Hopefully, it may help other community members experiencing similar behavior. Since the thread is now solved, I will proceed to close it. Please keep in mind that this thread will no longer be monitored by Intel.
Have a great day ahead!
Best regards,
