Intel processor upgrade for Toshiba laptop

I have an older Toshiba Satellite A305 with an Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 processor. I'm looking into wireless connection for my HD tv and see that the Core i3 processor will support that. Can I upgrade my current laptop with this new processor and if so how difficult would it be? I'm fairly tech savvy but have been out of the loop for a few years on the latest and greatest. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Please keep in mind that your laptop most have the Widi logo on it, otherwise it will not work even if you install a compatible processor.
