Hi everybody!!
I have an issue, and is that my pc does not recognize the 8 threads from my processor...
In the devices manager it recognizes 8 processors... but in the task manager I only see four of them. Also, in my softwares it always allowed me to take up to 8 threads, now only 4 are allowed.
I'm running in windows 7, and I have this problem since the last time I formatted my computer, a couple of weeks ago.
Can somebody help me? I don't know what to do U_U

Me too, I have a HP laptop (dv6 i7-720QM) and it was initially running at 8 logical processors plus 4 cores but after some automatic update that took place about a week ago, now my CPU is running at 2 cores and 3 logical processors. But on the system device manager it clearly says that I still have 8 processors (logical). I am waiting for someone to help me, is it some kind of technical fault, ie. half the CPU is burnt (2cores burnt) and now only half is working? I checked BIOS and there's not an option on enabling/disabling HT.

Hi! Finally I found the way to solve it.
Type msconfig on the start menu and enter. Once there, let's go to the advanced options in the startup panel, and disable the "number of cores" option, so it uses all of them (Note that the names of the menus could be different, as I'm translating them from my spanish OS)
