I have a desktop PC with an Intel Core Ultra 5 245K processor and an MSI Pro B860M-A WIFI motherboard. The motherboard has four DDR5 memory slots. If I utilize all four slots using two dual-channel RAM kits (4 DDR5 modules of the same brand and speed), will I benefit from increased speed? Or is it better to just stick with dual-channel (2 DDR5 modules)?
Here are the specifications for each part:

Hi bluet,
Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum.
Your motherboard is designed for dual-channel memory architecture, allowing it to efficiently use two memory channels at once. Even if you install four DDR5 modules, they will still function in dual-channel mode, as the motherboard does not support quad-channel memory. Consequently, you won't experience a notable speed boost from using four modules instead of two, since the memory bandwidth remains unchanged.
While adding four modules won't enhance speed due to the dual-channel limitation, it will increase your total memory capacity. This can be beneficial if your applications or workloads require more RAM.
It's important to use DDR5 modules that are identical in brand, speed, and timings to ensure system stability and compatibility. Mixing different types of RAM can cause problems.
In conclusion, if your main objective is to expand memory capacity, utilizing all four slots is advantageous. However, if you're aiming for a speed increase, using two modules in dual-channel mode is sufficient, given the motherboard's lack of support for quad-channel operation.
