I have a Core i9 13900k and for months I have had several problems, apart from games that close by themselves and some other crashes having to restart manually by the power button.
I will focus on not mixing everything into one thing ... for now.
First of all, and as of today, my ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 Hero board is with the latest Bios 2402 already with the latest microcode 0x125, and everything according to Intel profiles, even looking at the Intel specifications table of the microprocessor those points that Intel Base Line does not put according to that table, and I must say that it does not solve any of the problems I have.
Problem for which I ask now: Randomly, on the desktop, within an application, game, etc; the mouse cursor freezes, they last a short time, but the cursor stops and moves again. Sometimes ALL USB devices on the computer get disconnected and after a few seconds (4 or 5 approx) everything starts to reconnect again. It's as if the USB driver resets and works again in a few seconds. Everything else works, except what is connected by USB. The whole system is updated (Win 11 pro, all motherboard drivers, chipset driver, Intel serial IO driver, thunderbolt, etc, EVERYTHING...) without solving anything.
It's the second complete reinstallation of WIN 11 and everything keeps failing with the same thing (the USB thing and what I mentioned at the beginning)

Hello again.
Being on vacation and away from home there are things that seem a bit long. I just installed the ASUS "beta" BIOS 2503 which includes "The new BIOS includes Intel microcode 0x129 and adjusts the factory default settings for the non-K processors, enhancing the stability of Intel Core 13th and 14th gen desktop processors."
In the next few days I will be trying everything I can and I will explain if it solves my problem and if this is the end of something that was starting to be a nightmare with all the doubts that after spending a good amount of money on an "absolute TOP" PC, it was little less than throwing money away.
25 years installing PCs with Intel, where everything works without any problem from the first moment, to now be faced with the constant threat that at any moment the processor (the best I have ever had... supposedly) has to be thrown away and the money it has cost. And I think my position is totally reasonable when the PC starts doing "strange things" to you (very strange to be exact)

I haven't been told anything yet.
The problem is very annoying. In the middle of a backup to an external USB drive, everything randomly disconnects. Other times, simply on the desktop, without external drives connected, everything disconnects and after 5 or 6 seconds everything restarts and reconnects. I've already tried leaving only the keyboard and mouse (even different models) and the problem persists.
Apart from what was mentioned at the beginning that in large workloads (games, editing, which is what I use the PC for) it hangs, and other times it exits the program, game, etc.
It is the second complete reinstallation of Windows 11, and the same problems. The curious thing is that the first few months after installing everything on the PC everything worked perfectly, until things started and so on until today.
And all with the latest BIOS, all possible updates, etc., which is supposed to fix all this

It's not exactly the same situation. My mouse and keyboard fail because they are connected via USB. The reality is that it is the most immediate part of the failure, and the serious one is that all the USB ports are disconnected, and anything that is connected to them stays disconnected for about 5 seconds and everything restarts again... until the next time it fails.
There are some applications that do not open, and the few times I am playing a game like say "Call of Duty Modern Warfare", sometimes it doesn't even load and it hangs, and other times after sometimes a few seconds of starting to play, the game hangs or closes, sometimes after a few minutes, etc.
My graphics card is an MSI Suprim X RTX 3080 Ti fully updated.
Months ago I thought it was a problem with a Windows update, a driver, etc., but after reinstalling everything, the problems persist.

Hello again.
My first impressions after updating the BIOS of the ASUS 2503 (final version NOT BETA) with the latest microcode 0x129, and configuring everything according to Intel's instructions (at this point I insist that it had been like this for months, as indicated by Intel in its specifications sheet, and ALL voltages related to the microprocessor since the first day of the PC installation in "Auto" as supplied by the motherboard), is that there is a noticeable improvement, there are fewer failures, but the problem does not disappear completely. Let me explain...
The cuts in the mouse pointer are much less frequent, the problem is less noticeable, but it has not disappeared, it is still there; so the new microcode helps but does not eliminate it completely.
New: This is the first time this has happened to me; but being in the BIOS the mouse pointer did the same thing as in Windows and it froze, for a very short time, but it stayed.
I played a game that always crashed on me (Call Of Duty Modern) for about 20 minutes and it worked fine, although it was also true that it could crash at startup, after ten minutes, or later; so nothing definitive either.
In short, from what I've been able to see, the new microcode helps (no doubt), but it doesn't solve the problem completely.
Until I do more tests and start using the PC full time (on holidays now...), I can't say anything definitive either; but at least with my specific situation I'll explain it in case it helps.
Thanks.

I did not see a solution here?
I have same issue.. REPLACED the CPU, AND motherboard, have the lastest bios etc.. SAME issue!!
LOTS of money spent to STILL be unstable.
Basically my USB bus crashes. Usually as a result of USB activity like Teams (microphone) or similar.
I can remote to the machine and it works from remote session since that does not use the USB bus.
If I plug in a new keyboard it does not get power the caps lock will not light the caps light.
I have to reboot.. to get it to work again..
latest BIOS version : 2.22.1286
