Request XTU New Feature

Considering all the crazy issues reported on degrading 12th, 13th, and 14th gen. It would be nice and also the responsible thing to offer customers a new feature in XTU..

1. A stability based tune that thoroughly test a given users CPU through multiple stress test. Then applies a custom tune of Voltage, TDP, ICC or offset based on the results to make it 100% stable..

2. I would also love to see a under volt tune option for those who don't care much about OC and would rather have the most efficient, low power/temp settings for their specific chip.

After using the AI based tune, which is almost certainly not AI as it just cranks the voltage and applies a 6Ghz OC even though its breaching 100c. I think my suggested features would make more sense and make users happy... The software is great and convenient but XTU should have more recommendations and they should be governed by temp / stability.

Hi Exodus1337,

Thank you for creating a thread to provide your suggestion in Intel Communities.

We appreciate your effort to think of and share your idea for a workaround via Intel XTU for the 13th/14th generation processors.  I find your feedback a sensible and timely one. I will forward the feedback to the appropriate team.

Although, I recognize your suggestion as very useful particularly at this time, it will be up to our feedback team and development team to determine if your suggestion is something that they can incorporate and determine the time (ETA) on when it will be implemented, if it is something that is feasible.

We hope for your understanding on this. Rest assured your feedback is very valuable.

Thank you for supporting the Intel XTU utility and Intel in general.

Best Regards,

Thanks Alfred!

I appreciate you and Intel. This type of feature could really help new and experienced users.. Although I've been building custom PC's since early 2002, I find myself getting lazier and lazier when it comes to tunning or OC'ing.. My personal experience with Intel 14th gen has been great but only because I monitor temps and volts and immediately tuned my system day 1 after seeing 1.5v.. So all the issues everyone else had I've been able to avoid..

This feature could be so impactful for past, current and future CPU's.. Even on the new 0x129 my system defaults to 1.5v on the desktop. So I still applied a manual tune thus allowing my system to run much cooler and at much lower voltages whilst keeping the performance in games, windows and compiling, and compression... So many users end up under volting both their GPU and CPU so...

Anyways, much love!

Congratulations Exodo.

I'm not familiar with hardware and I think the idea is excellent. And you have explained it much better and more clearly than my poor attempt of a few days ago https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/Voltages-Wattages-and-Temperatures-13-and-14-generation/m-p/1625590
Thank you very much.
