Hi,
I have some older Pentium 4 Socket 478 motherboards and the only CPU I found that uses the virtualization technology and can be used with these motherboards is the Intel Celeron Processor 1.66 GHz, 1M cache, 667 MHz FSB.
1) Is this right?
2) Does anyone know of any others, e.g., Pentium 4
Thanks for the info.

Hi,
Intel(R) Virtualization Technology actually began with some processors within the 775-pin package. I'd recommend referring to the following URL:

Hi,
Thanks for your reply and I have looked at the suggested page BUT what I'm looking at is Sockets Supported PPGA478 on the Intel Celeron Processor page

Thanks.

It's an embedded Celeron, that uses either socket M or socket P. It's not compatible with socket 478.
