Hello Brilliantz,

Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.

Intel® does not provide undervolting controls/software/tools for locked non-K processors.

Altering clock frequency or voltage may void any product warranties and reduce stability, security, performance, and life of the processor and other components. OEMs set the undervolt option to be available on their BIOS. If options in BIOS are not available, contact your OEM or system vendor.

Here are some steps you can take to address the high CPU temperature and the restrictions on undervolting:

  • Verify that your laptop's cooling system is working efficiently. Clean any dust from the vents and fans, and consider using a cooling pad to enhance airflow.
  • Ensure your BIOS and drivers are up to date, as manufacturers occasionally release updates that improve thermal management. I strongly recommend contacting your system manufacturer's support team for assistance with this step.
  • Adjust your power settings to lower CPU load. You can switch your system to a balanced or power-saving mode to help control temperatures.
  • Consult your laptop manufacturer's support team for advice tailored to your specific model. They may offer additional recommendations or solutions.

I hope these suggestions assist you in effectively managing your CPU temperatures.

Best regards,

JeanetteC.

Hello Brilliantz,

As I have not heard from you for the past few days and already recommended contacting your system manufacturer's support team for further assistance if needed; I will proceed in closing this thread. Should you need assistance in the future, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Sincerely,
