I have been tuning my 14900K, and I noticed that Intel recommends 253W for Power Limit 1 and Power Limit 2. My possibly dumb question is, what is is 253W, not 254W, 250W or 260W? What is special about the number 253? It seems like there is some reason behind it.
Intel XTU recommends 450W for PL1/PL2, and other numbers on the product sheet for the wattage limit are in the increments of five or ten, which makes sense. I am just curious why Intel (and everyone) says 253W, which is oddly specific number.

they must have tested it until they werent able to replicate the crashes on the wattage. the maximum turbo power of the 12900k is 241 watts so im starting to think they made an error and were running the 13900k and 14900k out of spec due to a specification error. either that or the 12900k which never had problems has had its turbo power downrated too.
