Hi,
I'm an analyst and i work with a 3d visualisation mapping program.
My employer recently bought us new computers:
Intel XEON silver 4208, 8 cores, 11M cache, 2.10 GHz X 2
64GB ram DDR3
AMD® Radeon™ Pro WX 3200, 4 GB GDDR5, 4 mDP
Motherboard:
DELL INC.
BASEBOARD PRODUCT: 0804P1
BASEBOARD VERSION: A05
The problem is that the computer is really really slow. When i tried to work with graphics elements, it lag so bad that i have to use my laptop instead (Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10310U CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.21 GHz, 16 GB ram, no graphic card), which do better than my supposed "Super computer".
What could be the problem? Is it a processor settings or just that this is the wrong processor for the job?
Here's the processor Test:
I just ran the diagnosis tool on the processor. We tried to make all the updates the system fail to install many of them.
Hers's the result:

Hello Jofranco,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
To continue with your request can you please provide the following information:
- You mentioned that you tried to update the system and some updates failed to install, do you mean updates that the operating system was supposed to install, or are you talking about update packages that were downloaded from Dell’s website and weren’t installed properly on this system?
- Can you please provide a screenshot of the task manager under the processes tab while performing the task or running the program that you mentioned is getting really slow?
- Name of the software and the version that you are using when the issue occurs.
- Is the issue only happening with that specific software? Is the system able to be used normally for other tasks and programs outside of that software?

Hi Victor,
1. We tried to install the updates via the DELL website.
2.
3. App: GeoTime Desktop 6.4
4. The problem is more obvious when using GeoTime, but the computer is still slow even when using Excel Suite or Windows Explorer. We have a total of 45 computer with the same setup.

Hello Jofranco,
Thank you for your response.
Since the computer has been integrated by Dell with our components and the updates for it from Dell’s end have not been installed correctly, our strongest recommendation is to get in touch with Dell’s support directly so they can provide you with further advice on how to proceed with the updates, as long as the system updates are outdated performance can be affected. Besides that, there are no special configurations for our components, once they have been integrated into an original manufactured system (OEM), the company who did the integration guarantees not only compatibility but general functionality and, in this case, if the performance is still affected overall after the updates have been completed, a deeper analysis from Dell’s end might be necessary to make sure that no internal components on these 45 systems need to be replaced.
