i5-13500 overheating

Recently, I've got a setup with i5-13500 with B760 Gaming X AX motherboard. I'm also using a cooler DeepCool AK400 Plus.

The temp is normal when no-load or simple work-load (around 29-30 ambient temperature). But when I run CineBench R23 it jumps to 90-100 within 2 minutes, and the temp roams between 95-100 until CInebench stops

I tried the followings:

1) Repasting the thermal paste

2) Total open case (No front and side panel)

3) Lowering TDP (145W to 125W)

but all went in vain.

Will you please suggest me what can I do now? It's my new build

Check the AC_LL setting in the BIOS . The default is probably 90, likely way too high for this CPU, unless you've ended up with a particularly bad silicon. If available in this model and IIRC the options should be in Tweaker -> Advanced Voltage Settings.

a) basic setting in:
CPU Internal AC/DC Load line -> Power Saving (this will probably set it to 40)

b) or more advanced in:
Internal VR Control -> IA VR Config Enable

  • IA AC Loadline *
  • IA DC Loadline *

* Values from 1 to 110 (just in case, double-check the option description) are within Intel's specifications (0-1.1mΩ).

Naturally, test the stability of the system next. You may also need to adjust the Loadline Calibration if the system is not perfectly stable.

CPU VID remains 1.2x to 1.3x (Maximum), but I think this is too much for a 6 core processor. Should I under-volt it, will I get almost same frequency with under-volt?

If so, what is the best offset voltage ?
