i7 2600 VT-d and Win 7 XP Mode

I'm deciding whether I should buy the i7 2600K or 2600 CPU. I'm not particularly keen on overclocking, however, I'd also like to keep overclocking as an option.

I do use XP Mode regularly to run an old XP software. Does VT-d improve the operation of Win 7's XP Mode? If it does significantly, I might buy the i7 2600 instead of the 2600K.
