Hello kanika,
Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.
Regarding this matter, it is important to mention that this is a sign of a Physical Damaged CPU, and your processor may not work. Damage to the product indicates the product changed from its originally shipped condition, and it may void your warranty. Also, Intel does not sell or honor warranty requests for used (secondhand) processors and other products. You should contact the Place of Purchase for further support.
If you need any additional information, please submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Best regards,
Jean O.

Jean, your reply has zero worth in this case. The OP already knows the cpu is out of warranty, and is damaged and may not work. The original question is. "Is the pin used" and "what is the pupose of the pin". You answered none of those. Your generic and corporate answer is useless in this case. A cpu pinout, an actuall answer on what the pin functions is, or anything related could actually be usefull here. Additional and more in depth information would indeed be helpfull.
