Dear Intel Support and community,
In December 2022/January 2023 I got my second pc build done. At first it was working fine but after a few months games started crashing, discord perma crashed and I experienced countless BSODs.
I have never overclocked the System and the RAM is running without XMP profile activated.
After some tries to fix it by updating my GPU bios, motherboard bios and downgrading Windows 11 to earlier versions as well as Windows 10, still nothing changed.
I tried reinstalling Windows multiple times, sometimes even the fresh installation from an external drive led to a bluescreen. I checked literally everything else, as well as swapped GPU, RAM and SSD out and replaced them with the components from my first build which was running without any problems back then. But still it was crashing non-stop. I ran countless RAM and GPU diagnostics (without any failures or problems) as well as trying to not even install any external drivers besides the default ones from Microsoft themselves upon installing Windows.
But like a month ago I stumbled upon multiple Reddit and Intel forum threads of people having the same problems. And everyone had one thing in common. The i9-13900 processor. Some people said changing the Volt values of the cores or disabling Intel Fail Safe or something like that helped to have the system running more stable again, but I read the answer of an Intel employee who said that this burns the CPU out really quickly and also loses the warranty. So using this work around isnt really an option for me.
I bought an overall immensely powerful system but still it fails to let me play games and have fun with it, so I dont really know what to do anymore and came here. Is there any way to RMA the processor or some kind of help please?
List of my components:
CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core (TM) i9-13900KF
CPU Cooling: be quiet! Dark Rock TF 2
Case: Chieftec GP-02B-OP Stallion II
GPU: Gainward GeForce RTX 4090 Phantom GS
Storage: Samsung SSD 990 Pro 2TB
Mainboard: MSI MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI
Memory: G.Skill DIMM 64 GB DDR5-5600 Kit
Power: be quiet! Dark Power Pro 12 1200W
If there are any more questions that help solve my problem just go ahead please. I just want my PC to work after paying so much for it and I just wanna have fun playing my games 🥲

Hello floooo,
Thank you for posting in the communities. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the BSOD. Before we proceed with troubleshooting , we want to ask, are there any similarities to the errors showing up in your system? What games are also affected? Kindly please send us your SSU logs as well so we can further check your configuration. Additionally, have you saved the link wherein you saw the post from reddit so I can check it for you as well?

Hello,
First of all, many thanks for answering that quickly, I appreciate it a lot!
The similarities is, that all of the BSODs are logged with "Kernel Power" in the Event Viewer. I dont know if thats helpful.
I primarily play Fortnite, League of Legends and Valorant, therefore I encountered most problems with those games.
Discord just crashes randomly, closes and restarts, or just doesnt load again after all. I had to reinstall it several times and clear the AppData Folders of it to get it working again. And that multiple times a week.
For Fortnite I have to use a special launch code command which forces it to use a special low performance mode (so no DirectX11 or 12) because if I dont, it either instantly bluescreens my PC, starts loading and then crashes or starts loading, then throws a pop up saying "Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource" even though theres enough left and then starts eating all of my RAM until the PC bluescreens due to no more memory being available. While using the launch command it most of the times starts and I can somewhat play, but it just randomly crashes either the game or sometimes insta-bluescreens while ingame or when starting up the game. If I try to launch again after I crash I get a bluescreen and sometimes the PC gets stuck in a bluescreen loop, getting one again and again after restarting.
Valorant launches fine most of the time. Sometimes it doesnt launch at all, then I have to restart the PC. Very little times Valorant causes a BSOD on startup. But it does crash the game after each match shortly after loading back to the main menu. If I then try to start the game again I get a bluescreen.
League of Legends just randomly closes while playing.
While those are my main games and communication plattform I also encountered issues with World of Warcraft, Hogwarts Legacy, CSGO and CS2, as well as Apex Legends, where the games would either randomly crash, bluescreen or freeze the PC.
My last big problem is my browser (OperaGX mostly) just crashing and sometimes losing its website tabs or I also lost them a few times after the PC bsod'ed.
Sorry if not all of my english grammar is correct, as it's not my native language.
I will attach the SSU results to this post and in the following post the links to the threads I found about this processor (I didnt find every single one again due to my browser crashing and losing all tabs as I mentioned earlier).
Thank you for your time in advance though

Hello KISHKEBABS,
after 3 weeks we were able to find a solution by adjusting the LLC mode in the BIOS settings down until the problem was gone (for me the value was 7 i think). Unfortunately I have to tell you that 1 week ago the problems started reoccuring in known severity.
But as far as I know (I read some updates and news regarding this problem after it hit my PC again) Intel started rolling out a fix to all the motherboard producers and they will ship the BIOS update containing the fix by July 19th.
A workaround you can try until then is lowering the BIOS settings to Intels recommendation as most motherboards will use harsher values so you have more power but it also impacts the systems stability.
