Ethernet connection doesn't work properly(LWIP)

Hi all,

I have problems with Ethernet connection with Altera Cyclone Dev Kit powered by Nios2. I have tested the Ethernet connection via hub with standalone LWIP and factory settings(www-server), but the connection state doesn't bring up. I mean the led which indicates the state of the link doesn't go on. If I connect the Ethernet cable straight to PC, then there isn't any problems. Please explain to me, what is the reason for this and how it can be solved?

The two situations require two different types of cable, crossover vs patch. Do you have static IPs setup in both situations?

Thanks for your reply tns1!

Yes, in both situations there is a static IP setup. When the development board is connected straight to PC a crossover cable was used else another cable was used.

Now I have noticed that if the ethernet cable is connected after the board has booted itself, the connection is working properly in hub-situation.
