Keeping Multiple Projects on one nios2-linux

I'm now supporting multiple custom embedded boards with Altera FPGA designs containing NIOSII processors with uClinux. We are still using the *.ptf and vendor_hwselect SYSPTF=...

I'd really like to be able to go back and forth between my work with each board easily on one account with "nios2-linux/uClinux-dist."

I've read about "git" and think there is a way to do what I'd like but am swampped with deadlines (and don't consider myself very intelligent in this area) so am asking for help instead of exploring this myself.

Can I do what I'd like to do? Can someone help with STEP BY STEP commands or point me to a tutorial to read?

Thanks in advance.

All,

I found what I needed at the following link. Hope it helps someone else.
