Ok, uClinux is now running on my board. ftp, boa and the CF work. That's one Atta-Boy. Now to start developing my application...

When I create a project, Eclipse shows me the Microtronix Project plugins. There are literally dozens of other plugins in the directory but none of them are listed when I create the new project.

Is the Eclipse linux.gtk plugin something I can use in developing uClinux apps on Win2000?

My second question is where to find a tutorial on using the Eclipse IDE for developing applications. The eclipse forums (http://www.eclipse.org/) seem to be oriented towards developing tools for the IDE itself.

Thank you very much for your kind indulgence.

I think there may be a misunderstanding regarding the mapping between plug-ins and project types. The Microtronix project types that you see (kernel, filesystem, and application) do have a corresponding plug-in but that isn't always the case.

The linux.gtk plugin is probably the SWT GTK translation code. It has nothing to do with Nios II Linux.

Developing uClinux apps is described within the Reference manual that comes with the Nios II Linux distribution. At least the basics are described there.

I hope this helps... Let me know if I've confused you even further. http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif
