Hi,
I read somewhere in the altera docs that native linux development is possible for niosII/uKit. What I mean is not having to run a seperate windows box to connect JTAG and start the board. I have tried running NiosII IDE within linux using wine, however it seems unstable and I don't want to fry my board. I think I read that full featured NiosII development within linux is only possible with purchase of full liscencse for ide or quartus or both maybe? I've been reading too much manuals.. You folks have any info on this? thanks, buckLink Copied

If a full Linux development environment was available, I would also be interested. Additionally, I would be interested in getting the tools ported over to Linux so that I can at least build my filesystem structure, applications, and the kernel on a Linux box. Has anyone done this already?
