I am running the sample simple socket server design on a board. I can't get the board to talk to my PC, even when connecting directly. DHCP fails and it goes to the default IP. When I ping the board from my PC, the RX and TX lights come on from the PHY which tells me it is receiving and sending messages, but nothing shows up on the PC, not even in wireshark. Does anyone have any tips on what the problem could be?
Do the default gateways need to match? The subnet masks do match.
