Structure elements gettng reset

I am new to NIOS and facing some strange issues with it when I try to access the member variables of a structure.

Variable values reset sometimes and thought of possible logical error first but could not find a reason for it and used anther static variable just to work around. Now, I am seeing the same thing with another variable that I am incrementing. The structure is not packed. Can some suggest a possible solution?
