a question of uart

I want to know when I code a program of the uart program that is used to receive the message.Ask question:whether setting baud rates and ISR and so on.

I think that it might differ from system to system but on my cyclone dev system the baudrate is 115200 the serial uart is on irq 4 and the jtag uart is on irq 1. Hope this helps. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

As for IRQs numbers, aren't they user programmable??? (or did they change that in NIOS II?)
