I have installed NIOS II 1.0 and SP1.
When I start the NIOS II SDK shell I see: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div> --- Quote Start --- ... Welcome to the Nios II Development Kit Version 1.01, Built Thu Sep 2 00:09:35 PDT 2004 ...[/b] --- Quote End --- What information do you need to locate the problem?- Mark as New

The installer is looking for specific registry entries that are set when the Nios 1.01 is installed.
It would be helpful if you could email me a couple of registry dumps of the following registry keys:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altera Corporation
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions
To do this, select "Run..." from the start menu and run "regedit". Once in the registry editor, navigate to the paths shown above, right click and export each one to a .reg file. Email the .reg files to randy@microtronix.com.
