Hi,
I am confused between buying either a stratix 2 NIOS II dev. kit or a stratix 2 DSP kit. while I was reviewing the properities of each I stopped at something. DSP Kit ===== - Doesn't include NIOS II IDE with it. Questions ====== - I noticed that the DSP kit conatin any of the NIOS set (IDE,..etc). Does that mean that the can't DSP kit work with NIOS II processor ? - If it works does that mean that I will have to use the evaluation edition of NIOS IDE if I want to use NIOS processor on my DSP kit ? ThanksLink Copied

There is no Nios II license with the DSP kit, so you will have to use a time limited version of the processor or buy a license separately. But there is an example processor design coming with the kit. There is a DSP builder license with the DSP kit package.
If you plan to use Linux or at least Ethernet on Nios than the Nios II kit is more appropriate. IzI
