Errors while building the Linux Kernel

Hi,

I am trying to build the Linux kernel following the quick start-up guide but always getting the following messages:

c:/altera/kits/nios2/user.bashrc : No such file or directory

...

...

gcc: not found

...

etc...

(I am using Quartus 4.1, SOPC Builder 4.1 and NiosII release 1.0 on Windows 2000)

As I read on another similar topic, I do not get the Microtronix Linux Extensions banner when I start the NiosII sdk shell.

I ran the installation repair utilliy from the Linux Distribution install shield but it did not help.

Help please!

Thanks

Eric

sri,

I had the same problem: just start your SOPC builder

sri,

do a search for "Windows NT Patch for Linux on Nios II", download and install the patch ( on any windows flavour, XP included ). It should fix you problem if you start NIOSII IDE from SOPC builder.

Cheers

JH.
