I just start to learn NIOS(not NIOS II), and i have some question to ask.

1) i use C language to write my program, where should i compile the file? (from the tutorial of Altera, this .c file is store in NIOS ext_ram and generate using SOPC builder) i need to use Quartus II to compile the .c file?

2) how to simulate the program that i write?

sorry for my broken english, and thanks for help me.
