Hello everybody.
I would like to point out a slight, but annoying, install problem for the CF component. I tried to install the CF component downloaded from this forum, but the installer failed to execute repotring the following severe error: "no Altera Nios II installation found". However, I have a full install on my laptop (actually, I have more than one running in parallel, and this is one of the sources of the problem). http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif After investigating, I found out that the installer looks for the existence of the following registry key: My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altera Corporation\SOPC_BUILDER_KITS\nios2\1.0 Now, since I have both 1.0 (actually, 1.0.1) and 1.1 installed on my machine, it looks as if the installation of version 1.1 removed the \1.0 key, replacing it with a \1.1 equivalent key. Adding back with regedit a \1.0 key (with all the relevant info - the key includes a KIT_HOME string value that must be appropriately set) made the trick - I was able to install the component in the right position after doing that. http://forum.niosforum.com/work2/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif However, I suggest to have the installer error message changed, because what you get now is quite misleading. A more meaningfulerror message in this case could"Cannot find on this machine the Nios II kit version 1.0 installation required by this component". MaurizioLink Copied
