Pausing target processor: not responding.

Hi,

I´m a new user of NiosII IDE tools.

I've made a HW driver, and it looks like working ok. But when I make some changes in the .vhdl file and I try to debug it again as Hardware with the NiosII IDE, I have this message:

Using cable "USB-Blaster [USB-0]", device 1, instance 0x00

Pausing target processor: not responding.

Resetting and trying again: FAILED

Leaving target processor paused

To update the .vhdl file I do the following: generate again the system with sopc, update the Nios symbol in the quartus project, recompile and program the fpga. Afterwards, I build again the project and try to debug as hardware.

Sometimes I have to do this 2 or 3 times before the IDE debug works.

Can anyone help me?

thanks in advance,

María
