SOPC - NIOS - ModelSIM simulation

Hi , 

 

I have a customed component which was added to SOPC , then I create a project in NIOS IDE to "talk" to my component. I could startup successfully ModelSIM simulating my NIOS C code and component. 

 

Now I want to test to see if ModelSIM really works with my NIOS C : I just used a printf in NIOS C and ran ModelSIM but ModelSIM didn't show the message in printf though I used "run 20ms" in ModelSIM 

 

I follow this instruction to simulate NIOS II Embedded Designs :

Why does ModelSIM not work with NIOS C ???
