Hello, I am trying to do Uart Communication on the DE1 nanosoc board, but the pins to assign the Uart say unassignable on Quartus according to the instruction manual:
Cyclone® V SE 5CSEMA4U23C6N device
I am wondering if there is a way to assign these pins to the Quartus pin planner, as I am lost on how to do it. I will include my project details here.
I already tried including both the HPS and the NIOS V, but it didn't work. I just want to know if it is possible or not. Thank you

Hi David,
Sorry for the delay, I checked the schematic and saw that the pins are already connected , don't think you can modify it
You got the error when you try to edit/enter the location Pin_A22 right?
Thanks

Hi David,
Is there any update on this case whether the issue been resolved?
Just to add on , though you cant edit the HPS_UART_<TX/RX> since it is already fixed to pin A22,21 (same as the rest of the UART) , you will still need to configure the pin functionality A22,B21 to use as UART0_RX/TX
Thanks
