console on JTAG UART + booting without terminal

Hi ...I am working on a custom Cyclone II board. I would like to boot with console on JTAG UART suppport enabled , without using nios2-terminal ... how to go about it ?

From the forum i learned that to boot without nios2-terminal, JTAG UART support is to be removed. Is there any other way ?

Where is the code that waits for nios2-terminal ???

Thanks and Regards,

Vishal

Altera didn't release the code or details of jtag uart of nios2-terminal.

You can not use jtag uart without nios2-terminal.

You'd better use serial uart (RS232) .
