In the Cyclone V E FPGA Development Kit, I would like to use the reference on the <Board Update Portal based on Nios II Processor with EPCQ>.
I wonder, can EPCQ memory be used differently from its original purpose? For example, it can be used as a buffer for Ethernet communications, to store Ethernet IPs, to write or read other data, etc. Looking at Qsys, it appears that the data output from the EPCQ controller is not set upLink Copied

Hi,
--- Quote Start --- For example, it can be used as a buffer for Ethernet communications, to store Ethernet IPs, to write or read other data, etc. --- Quote End --- If the FPGA configuration data does not fill up the entire EPCS/EPCQ device, any left-over space can be used for general-purpose data and system startup code. --- Quote Start --- Looking at Qsys, it appears that the data output from the EPCQ controller is not set up --- Quote End --- You can use "legacy EPCS/EPCQ Serial Flash Controller" IP Core or Alter ASMI parallel Ip.
