Have you tried downloading the file with a download program which can reliably retry and resume on errors? For example, most linux systems have wget which you can use from the command line: 

 wget http://www.niosftp.com/pub/linux/nios2-linux-20090929.tar

Does NIOSWiki work for you at all ?  

 Without decent access to the NIOWiki the file will not be of much value to you, as all information on how to work with it is to be found in the Wiki.  Are you located in China ? There have been several reports that the nioswik (and supposedly many other Wikis) can't be accessed from China due to the government's Internet restrictions.  -Michael

As said: the file alone will be not be of much value for you if you can't read the Wiki. 

 Maybe there is some kind of encrypting proxy out there to overcome the Firewall that banns dangerous websites, but I have no idea if/how this is possible; and of course doing so might be illegal.   -Michael

My situation is the same as rubylc and can not download nios2-linux-20090929.tar, http download or wget download methods have been tried, has not been successful, I do not think the reason is due to government control, that may be caused by the failure of network connections to niosftp server failure, this is my guess, because government control has never been carried out on the technology Web site, you can try again a few days, now do not have access to http://www.niosftp.com , nioswiki can access.

Can you access the NiosWiki at all ? If not the file will not be very helpful.

Yes, I can access the NiosWiki, but I could not find the address for download on the web of it. I have tried it many times until today. Meanwhile, I found the website niosftp was transfered into alteraforum. the responsive message was like this, The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. would Mr mschnell like to help us ? many thanks for you and best regard. We only want to a website link to the resource which can be really downloaded.
