The processor is likely soldered to the motherboard in your laptop and cannot be replaced. If it is instead socketed, possible replacement processors must be socket, board and BIOS compatible. Only your laptop manufacturer (i.e. HP) will be able to answer all of these compatibility questions. You need to contact them.
