Choice between 10400f with solder (192kb cache) or without solder but with 384kb l1 cache. What should i buy for games? Do l1 cache give more fps in games?

Hello ruslan228,

Thank you for patiently waiting.

The specification for this processor sets a total of 64K (per core) for a total of 384 Kb of L1 cache.

Part # CM8070104282719 listed with 192 Kb of L1 Cache must be a specific order with a subset of varied specs.

In this case, the amount of L1 Cache should not have an easily measurable impact on PC Games performance as the MLC (multi-level cache) architecture allows the workload to be shifted to the next level of cache when needed. From the Intel* side we do not have benchmarks that showcase said difference.

Hello ruslan228,

Thank you for posting on the Intel* Community.

To better assist you, please provide us with the part numbers, ordering code, or stepping information of the processor, so we will be able to help you with accurate information. Otherwise, I will be unable to verify the information on the cache differences in the 10400F processor.

For now, what I can assure is that with Cache the more the better for overall performance.
