As the title suggests i can not get my computer to boot with more than 1 stick of ram. I have replaced the ram and they all work. i have replaced the board and that seems fine too. only thing i can think of is it being the .CPU. It is only a month old with no overclocks or anything. anyone have any suggestions as to whether it is the CPU.

Have you worked with the motherboard manufacturer?

Have you updated the motherboard bios?

I have submitted a help request and asked on their forum etc. It is a new board, old board worked fine for 3 weeks then random freezes and eventually crashes then ram just stopped working together.  I got replacements for the ram and the motherboard but still the exact same leading me to question the CPU. No bent pins on the board or sign of any physical damage.

Also, what is the complete model number of your motherboard?

Hello gazwa123

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities.

To have a better understanding of your issue, please provide me with the following:

  • What is the model of the RAM modules you are trying?
  • Are the RAM modules configured to run at the same frequency?
  • Have you tried using both RAM modules one at a time?
  • When did the issue start?
  • Did you do any major hardware or software changes before the issue started?
  • Did you enable Intel XMP? If yes, what was the memory speed configured?
