Hello, @MDK_pt
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
Did you make sure your system complies with all the Intel® Application Optimization requirements? Intel® Application Optimization Overview
Intel® Application Optimization can be downloaded through Microsoft Store. Intel® Application Optimization is currently not available for download through Intel download center.
Intel Application Optimization will be enabled by default on a supported system that is running Intel® DTT, it runs silently as part of the Intel® DTT driver. Some systems may have Intel Application Optimization pre-installed by motherboard vendors. Users may choose to install Intel’s under interface available on the Microsoft Store to directly control the optimization.

Hello, @MDK_pt
Thank you for your reply.
Intel® DDT should be installed by default, but yes, installation and enablement of Intel® DTT for operation is required. You could try to enable it in your BIOS and see if the issue persists.

Its easy
1- enable DTT in bios
2 - download the DTT driver from asus site on your motherboard
3 - extract
4 - you need to run the asus exe and the install bar also
5 - go to all folders and right click on all info files and click install also extrack the zip folder and install the bar file and right click and install info files.
Its simple run all exe and bats and install all info files

So I found DTT in bios , enabled it , then downloaded the driver via armoury crate, it wasn’t there prior to me enabling DTT in bios. Now Intel APO installs but it fails to connect. Just thought I’d update my progress. So I’ve got to try and fix this

https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/s/QnaaAZa2Iy

This has worked but tbh it's a bit pathetic
On their page this is all I could find
Intel DTT 9.0.11401.38310 (Ipf driver V1.0.11401.38408) For Windows 10/11 64-bit.
ROG MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO | Gaming motherboards|ROG - Republic of Gamers|ROG Global (asus.com)
On Armoury crate this is the version they have
Note that the current version that I have down there is 39039 which is the driver from AsRock, seems like Asus is a bit behind ?
It 'seems' to be working ? It doesn't detect my games so I suspect there is something faulty.

From what I read you’ve got to open the game first time then Intel APO will detect it, so open the game with Intel APO enabled and the quit out of it and re open the game, should then work after that. Remember currently only metro exodus and rainbow 6 siege are supported, let’s hope they get a lot more games soon because this does exactly what thread director was supposed to do. Gamers nexus has a video on it , they tested it out and monitored everything. It’s really quite interesting. I’m happy you got it working

(Z790 ProArt, z790 Encore)
It took maybe 10 minutes to read how and download things, and if you have the Armory Crate then less

Worked is a bit of an overstatement, isn't it?
Activating DTT in bios, re-installing windows alongside armoury crate, discover that the driver is already installed if DTT is bios enabled, you'd expect it to work, right ? So they don't work as they should.. since this is a new thing, it's expected to be a bit shaky, but for Z790 refreshes to require 'click all bats' is a bit meh.
I will uninstall the generic msi driver which seems to be working fine, and attempt to re-install asus's DTT and do the whole 'exe/bat/info' ritual to see if it works, since I suspect there might be some benefits in having the og driver from asus.
EDIT
I think that the application is pointless for the ASUS boards, I do suspect we have it enabled ?
(2) Intel APO Works! Over 200fps BOOST in Rainbow Six Siege : intel (reddit.com)
Here it claims that the 'app' is optional, after installing that MSI generic driver I could already see the APO turned on, so I suspect the Asus drivers work, just that there is no comms w/ the community in regard to the Intel APO UI, maybe the Asus drivers turn it on system-wide but for some reason Intel doesn't see it ?
