Hello everyone.
I bought myself a 14900ks, and am faced with constant errors, help me fix this.
Config:
MB: ROG MAXIMUS Z790 APEX ENCORE
CPU: i9 14900ks
Memory: TeamGroup 48GB DDR5 7200Mhz
Cooling: NZXT Z73 Kraken or Arctic Freezer II 360, same situation.
MX4 or Honeywell PTM7950
If the standard values are 5900 MHz, there are constant bsods and errors in the browser, etc.
If I set the value to 5700 mHz, then there are fewer errors.
What to do? Where to dig?

Hi,
As I experienced this issue myself too, I'll try to help you. This is a known issue for a lot of i9's from 13th&14th gen.
Apparently the MB manufacturers (encouranged by Intel, ofc, they want to win the benchmarking race vs AMD) set some profiles that were not really that good for the CPU health, way over the "default Intel specifications". That's why after some time, some unlucky ones have been seeing crashes on several applications even the OS itself (BSOD).
If you check this post https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/I9-13900K-and-I9-14900K-Memory-Access-Violation-with-turbo/td-p/1575161 you can see there are several suggestion in there. Mostly adjusting the CPU power parameters to the ones specified by default by Intel:
Aside from that, what I did was to update the BIOS (I can see you have the BIOS 1301, which is the last), since I had an old one. After updating the BIOS (which had the "default Intel profile") my computer was way more stable, but still was getting some crashes.
I started to play around with the IccMax, testing 307A, 335A and 400A, and with all of the values, there were still crashes.
So, in the end, it seemed like my CPU was faulty, so I requested an RMA.
Here is my advice to you, try to test the Extreme profile as of Intel's default profile and if you are still having issues, don't let them get away with setting the "Balanced" profile even if it works, since you will be losing performance and that CPU is not precisely cheap.
Also, so you know this is an still under investigation issue on Intel's side, and here is the latest update on it, as I am aware: https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/June-2024-Guidance-regarding-Intel-Core-13th-and-14th-Gen-K-KF/m-p/1607807?profile.language=en
