I have a 14900KS and I have trouble getting ram stable at above 6000mhz. So now I have a 2x32 gb kit gskill trident z marketed @ 6400 mhz which is not stable with XMP so it is running on auto at 4800mhz, which is to slow. Could you help me set the memory on at least 5600mhz which is 14900ks top speed to support? My motherboars is Asus z790 Apex Encore with intel default extreme profile. Thank you very much for your help!

ASUS have a forum for ROG products including motherboards. There is an article titled Exploring the impact of DDR5 in 2024 [Intel 14th Gen] that can be found here that may be useful. It also features the same motherboard as yours.

Just a thought - have you checked to see if there is a secondary XMP profile that runs as a lower speed (but not all the way to the base)?

I tried both xmp 1 and 2 and are on the same speed but not stable. I am stable now on auto with 4800. That is why to manually set it to 5600. But i don t know if I can leave timings on auto and just set voltage. And what voltage for 5600? I heard 1.25v should do it. But I an tired of testing.
