in mid November i have buy and intel 14900k with a brand new mother bord ( MSI MEG Z790 ACE MAX) and a set of ddr5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 96GB (2 x 48GB) i have used the pc for about 30 days with no issues at all Cpu is set at default with only xmp profile enable for the ram . about 5 days form now i have started to experience crashes when playing games or doing renders those crashes have ben getting more and more frequents to the point where i can no player games or do my renders they just crash some application like discord will randomly crash or not open, when i try to open a folder somtimes they won't open . i try to run a stress test with the intel extreme tuning utility or aida 64 the test will stop and fail almost instantly sometime it give me Bsod ,
I try setting on default bios settings. and try without xmp and it keep crashing .
temperature is not the issue won't go above 75-80 degree on full laud
Lowering the cpu clock speed to 5.6 ghz to all cores fix this issue and the crashes are gone and i can use the computer normally with no issue Stress test won't give me any errors and will run fine xmp enable or not it run fine without issues .
My games are working fine expect for cyberpunk who still give me a Bsod on start up.
At this point a am convinced that my cpu might be faulty it simply won't run at his defaults clock speed, . but runs fine .1 ghz lower however i don't want to rush to the conclusion of rma yet.
i would like to known if there anything i can try out before requesting A rma ?
probably going try and call intel tomorrows to see if they can help me via phone aswell.
